Frank Turek
The inside cover is covered with a monochromatic, dark maroon, elaborate paisley design. On top of this as an illustration of William Harvey with a clipping from a grammar primer pasted below and a color photo of a waterfall above. The arch-top frame is covered with a color photograph of the Tutankhamen sarcophagus. The inside of the frame is divided into an upper and lower section by a piece of blue glass which covers the lower half. Behind the blue glass are four small vials, each containing illustrations. The vials are mounted on a half of a playing card which is itself atop a background of a color illustration depicting early plant and animal life on earth. The side panels depict six illustrations of late 19th-century machinery and the people using them. The background of the top section is a medical illustration showing the cross-section of the human testes and penis. A gold leg from a trophy figure descends from a top panel covered in metallic gold patterned wallpaper. The title, date, and signature are on a scrap of yellowed paper pasted to the bottom left outer edge of the frame.
