On the inside cover is an etching illustration of a runaway horse dragging its rider over a rocky desert terrain. On the upper right of this picture is a round, clear lucite object containing a star shaped seedpod with gold flecks around it. At the bottom of the inside cover, pasted on a piece of purple cloth, is a clipping of text from a pulp fiction story. The framed sections is equally divided vertically into two sections. On the left is an etching illustration of a man standing in full armor and on the right a nude middle-aged man standing back to. On the inside left of the frame is a couple gory story snippet describing a scene of fighting-off wild animals. Coming out of either side of the frame is a drawstring which, when pulled to the left, slides open a hidden vertical drawer. Inside this drawer is an illustration of a rat mostly concealed by a section consisting of a playing card with the oval center cut out revealing a dictionary illustration of boomerangs. Upon removing the boomerang section it’s revealed that the rat is a dissection illustration with its belly split open revealing its viscera. Also revealed are two small cocktail forks lying atop the rat. On the underside of the removable module which is covered in a blue pattern cloth, is an etching illustration of a knapsack. The frame is covered in a mottled red-orange cloth. The title, date, and signature are on the bottom of the inside spine.
